Day 1 - Arrival

 

Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. ​

Day 2 - Borjomi tour

Tour starts at 10:00 am. Driver and a tour guide will pick you up from the hotel.Upon reaching Borjomi, head straight to the famous Borjomi Central Park. This park is known for its picturesque landscapes, walking trails, and the iconic Borjomi Spring, where you can taste the natural mineral water that the region is famous for. Explore the Borjomi Historical Museum to learn about the rich history and cultural heritage of the region. The museum displays artifacts, documents, and exhibits that provide insights into the past of Borjomi.

Enjoy a delicious Georgian lunch at one of the local restaurants in Borjomi. Try traditional dishes like khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) or khinkali (dumplings).

After lunch take a cable car ride to the Timotesubani Monastery, located on a hill overlooking the Borjomi Valley. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes and explore the monastery complex.

Day 3 - Vardzia tour

Start your day early, departing from Borjomi and heading towards Vardzia. The drive takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, so ensure you have a hearty breakfast to kickstart your day.Explore the remarkable cave monastery of Vardzia, carved into the cliffs of the Erusheti Mountain. Discover the fascinating history and architecture of this ancient complex, which dates back to the 12th century.Enjoy a leisurely lunch in the vicinity of Vardzia. Local establishments often serve traditional Georgian dishes, providing you with an opportunity to taste the regional cuisine.After lunch, embark on the journey to Rabati Castle. The drive from Vardzia to Rabati Castle usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.​Explore Rabati Castle, a fortress complex in Akhaltsikhe. Wander through its various sections, including a church, mosque, synagogue, and a museum. The castle offers a captivating blend of different architectural styles and historical periods.
